First Pluto and now Neptune?!?!?!….iTunesU media

I was watching K-5 movies produced by WGBH on iTunesU….short 3-6 minute movies. One movie on planets explained the fascinating history of planets. I knew there was always some controversy about planets, but I did not know that there really is a fair amount of subjectivity as to what is considered a planet and what is not a planet by the scientific community. The illustrations are perfect for visual learners. Go to iTunes>iTunesU>WGBH>Grades K-5 video

iTunes is on all the computers in the district and there is a growing body of media content perfect for our millennial students who are very dialed into this sort of video delivery. It also is a good source for enrichment and differentiation.

How cool would it be for teachers to use the WordPress blog for students to watch and review content on iTunesU? …and I learned that Neptune may be next to follow the planet declassification road that Pluto went down.

The capital projects will empower teachers to provide students such a video either to the class as a whole from a room projector or to the individual student via a laptop and/or students can view anywhere there is access to the Internet.
