Learning requires a dense and pervasive wireless plan
Our Phase III work continues to advance and we have finished the framework for our district wireless strategy. This strategy emphasizes flexibility and predictability. A pervasive 802.11 a/b/g/n network throughout the buildings, allowing everyone to access the network everywhere on campus….for density mobile AP 802.11 a/n and fixed 802.11a/n in the media centers will enable many users to utilize broadband applications, like video streaming. This enables teachers to have a predictable environment by which to work. It also enables us to be flexible by providing resources to where demand warrants versus the traditional manner of blanketing schools with resources that may never be used…ie. “every classroom gets five computers, regardless if they will be used”…our strategy will allow us to deliver wireless computers to where demand and pedagogy warrant.
